Our training services include ITIL/ITSM certifications, ITSM process workshops, authorized IBM training, and user & administrator training for your large-scale system implementations.

ITIL® Certification Programs 

As your team progresses through the adoption of ITSM, we offer ITIL® Certification programs to help them gain the in-depth knowledge and framework certification necessary to lead your organization through continuous improvement. ITIL® certification is offered at three levels:

  • Foundation Certification - The Foundation course introduces the student to the fundamentals of IT Service Management as described in ITIL®. This two-day course prepares students for the ITIL® Foundation Certification and culminates with a one hour certification examination.
  • Practitioner Certification - The Practioner Course is intended for process owners with at least four years of practical, hands-on experience and who wish to certify their skills in one of the following specific practice areas: Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration or Service Level Management. This three-day course prepares students for the ITIL® Practioner Certification and culminates with a one hour certification examination.
  • Service Manager Certification - IT Service Manager is the highest level of professional IT Service Management and ITIL® certification available. The candidate who achieves certification must demonstrate not only an in-depth knowledge of IT Service Management, but also the practical application of that knowledge. The Service Manager Certification course includes two 5-day sessions and culminates in two, three-hour examinations.

IBM Authorized Independent Authorized Training Provider

As a one-stop shop for IBM Tivoli services, Windward delivers several IBM training courses as an IBM Independent Authorized Training Provider. Windward delivers these courses at either the customer’s location or at Windward’s training center in Herndon, VA. With the experience of hundreds of IBM implementations under our belt, our trainers are field-tested and share real-world knowledge about how your implementation meets your company’s specific needs. Through Windward’s quality IBM training courses, our clients gain skills to more effectively leverage the functionality of IBM software for their business needs. And, our courses ensure that our clients’ software deployment are adapted by their organization more quickly and thoroughly.

Knowledge Transfer for System Implementations

Windward’s approach to knowledge transfer starts from the beginning of all our implementation projects. Through our “Off-Ramp” methodology, we ensure that the customer has full visibility into the project and can take ownership of the solution after we have left. Our model is to make our clients self-sufficient.

Where significant training for administrators or users is required, Windward develops and delivers formal training programs in conjunction with system rollout. Based on our experience of hundreds of systems integration projects, we create custom training curriculums that address the knowledge needed to take over control of the system. This approach focuses on the deployed functionality, rather than formal "textbook-like" training, and ensures that the critical “people” part of the solution is fully addressed.
