Community Involvement

A Culture of Giving Back

For more than a decade, Windward has supported the communities where its employees live and work. Through strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, Windward has provided significant resources to achieve long-term and meaningful results. Our commitment of giving back is an integral part of our culture. We maintain an internal employee Volunteer Committee that constantly reviews proposals for community involvement and makes recommendations for Windward involvement to our Executive Leadership. Examples of our community involvement initiatives include:

• Prepared materials in preparation for SCAN’s 5th Annual Allies in Prevention Awards Luncheon, which raises public awareness of child abuse and neglect;
• Distributed donations and coordinated activities for clients of Homestretch whose mission is to empower homeless families with children;
• Set up and participated in the Hutchison Elementary Volunteer Day, teaching children about the value of community volunteering;
• Organized donations for the Winter Clothing Donation for the Homeless event;
• Prepared Care Packages for troops overseas.

Windward supports programs and organizations that address the needs of communities nationwide by monetary grants, technology expertise, and employee volunteer hours. This volunteer partnership supports Windward’s strong belief in the value of giving back to the community on both an individual and a corporate level.
