HERNDON, Va. - June 7, 2005 -- Windward, the premier operational management consulting and systems engineering firm, today announced that the Department of the Navy awarded Windward one of the System Engineering and Analysis and Advanced Technology Support Seaport II Rolling Admissions contracts.
The purpose of this rolling admission is to support services for all phases of weapon systems acquisition and life-cycle support including research and development support, prototyping, acquisition logistics, modeling, test and evaluation trials, and engineering support for the Naval Sea Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps.
Windward will provide qualified personnel, materials, facilities, equipment, test instrumentation, data collection, analysis hardware and software, and services that will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center and Naval Undersea Warfare Center, and their subordinate divisions in the execution of their missions, product area directorates, and technical capabilities.
The government estimates a maximum of $5.3 billion of services will be procured per year via orders issued under the SeaPort-e multiple award contracts.
