HERNDON, VA-- October 23, 2007 -- Windward, the premier operations management solutions firm, announced that the US Department of Interior (DOI) awarded Windward a contract for performing an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) maturity assessment for its Bureau of Reclamation. Supporting DOI's IT Strategic Plan, the Bureau seeks to provide world-class enterprise operations based on the industry standard IT Infrastructure Library, or ITIL. The Bureau solicited proposals from leading firms in industry to develop a structured ITSM approach as well as a roadmap and implementation plan.
