Herndon, VA - January 16, 2003 - Windward Consulting Group, a leading services company focused on Operational Management solutions for large-scale information technology (IT) infrastructures, announced a new Federal Government consulting division. The creation of this division is in response to being awarded several Federal projects in 2002 and establishing key partnerships to bring Operational Management solutions to the Federal Government. The new division will focus on delivering commercially proven solutions that support the unique requirements of the Federal Government.
During 2002, Windward was awarded significant Operational Management projects within the Intelligence community, Military, and Civilian agencies. In addition, key relationships with large System Integrators and hardware vendors were solidified. Windward was also selected to be part of existing federal contract vehicles currently owned by large system integrators.. The existing contracts and partnerships provide the foundation for establishing additional channels to deliver solutions to government agencies. Windward is also expected to finalize their GSA Services Schedule in early 2003.
During 2002, Windward provided solutions to assist Government Agencies and System Integrators manage their large IT infrastructures. This included providing assistance in meeting defined Service Level Agreements, developing process models for cost effective operations, applying information assurance business rules to complex enterprises, and deploying systems for fault, performance, configuration, asset, and security management. These services applied to data , wireless, satellite, and voice networks, data centers, and mission critical applications.
